High School Girls Basketball
@ Lady Cranberry Classic:
Abingdon (2-1) beat Mercer County (0-3) 42-12. The Commandos, led by Melissa Von Kannon's 16 points, finished second in the tournament.
Rowva (3-0) remains unbeaten after beating West Central (0-3) 37-33. Marysa Remick had 8 points for the Tigers, who won the tournament for the first time in three years and earned the school's 10th title overall.
@ Macomb:
Knoxville (2-0) had no trouble with Rushville-Industry, winning 61-23
@ Woodhull:
Ridgewood downed Galva 51-16
Port Byron Riverdale beat Bushnell-Prairie City-Avon 67-55
Monmouth-Roseville outscored United by 13 in the fourth quarter and came away with a 72-56 win against the Red Storm
Women's College Basketball
Carl Sandburg College lost its second straight game, falling at home against John Wood 68-34. The Trailblazers had a commanding 22-point half-time lead. Taylor Rice led the Chargers with 9 points. Molly Kramer added 8 for CSC (2-3). |
