| Add Bass Fishing and Wrestling to KHS Extra-Curriculars |
POSTED 11:48 a-m 11/19/09 The Knoxville School District's extra curricular offerings has increased by two, and one of them is a very unique offering. The District 202 School Board Wednesday night approved bass fishing. Superintendent Dr. Larry Carlton says five students expressed interest in participating so the administration and the board allowed it to move forward. The school board also named Chris Lensing as the junior high school wrestling coach. Lensing, who is the junior high principal, said he only wants to coach one year to get the newly formed wrestling program off the ground. Officials say a person who had applied to be the coach backed out because of scheduling conflicts with practices. |
