@ Galesburg Thanksgiving Tournament
Galesburg Silver Streaks (1-1) lost to Peoria Manual (2-0) 52-41. Dalton Davis led the Streaks with 18 points, 8 of those from the free-throw line, and also made two three-point shots. Victor Davis scored 11. The Streaks play Collins on Friday at noon on WGIL (11:40 pregame), then again at 7:30 Friday night against Thornridge, also on WGIL.
Also at the tournament, Peoria Woodruff defeated Pekin 64-50.

WOMEN'S COLLEGE BASKETBALL
Monmouth (2-1) 75, Eureka 47 Freshman Zipporah Williams collected her first career double-double as Monmouth handled Eureka 75-47 at Glennie Gym. The Fighting Scots went on an 11-0 run late in the first half and opened the second half with a 9-0 run to vault to a 31-point lead with 16:25 left in the game. Monmouth maintained that edge throughout the remainder of the game as Williams scored a game and career high 21 points and 11 rebounds. Alison Andrews and Justine Boone chipped in with 14 points each. (Monmouth College Athletics)
MEN'S COLLEGE BASKETBALL
Monmouth (1-2) 73, Eureka 64 The Scots hit their free throws down the stretch to hold off Eureka 73-64. With the game tied and 4:11 left, the Scots went on a 9-0 run, hitting 12-of-14 free throws to hold off the stubborn Red Devils. Freshman Michael DeDecker and junior Cory Gruber made seven of eight free throws in the final minute to seal the deal. Gruber finished with a team-high 16 points, making three of his five three-point attempts. Eric Cogdill added 13 and DeDecker finished with 10. (Monmouth College Athletics)
