Galva picked up its first win of the season against Henry 67-55
United defeated West Central 49-37
Monmouth-Roseville (5-0) beat Williamsfield (4-1) in the championship game 61-52

Galesburg's freshman "A" team downed Macomb 67-52. Travon Diggins and Drew Nall had 19 points apiece for the Silver Streaks


High School Girls Basketball

Knoxville's defense clamped down on Rowva, leading the Blue Bullets (7-0) to a 62-24 victory against the Tigers (3-3) at Knoxville

Ridgewood defeated Rockridge 56-41

Abingdon beat Galva 43-22

Monmouth-Roseville (4-1) downed Wethersfield 49-31. Claire McGuire led the Titans with 14 points.

BPCA topped West Prairie 60-43. Bridjet Blout had a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Spartans.

Lewistown stopped North Fulton 64-49

West Central lost to West Hancock 54-9

Brimfield crushed Peoria Heights 100-25

Farmington broke open a tie game with a 37-29 second half run against Orion to win 59-51. Rachel Stobaugh led the Farmers with 21 points.

South Fulton (5-1) ran past Rushville-Industry 67-37. Carly Beebe scored 15 points to lead the Rebels.

Galesburg's freshman team (2-1) lost to Moline 47-28. Dani Teel scored a team-high 10 points for the Silver Streaks.


Local College Basketball

-Men-

Augustana College beat Knox College 73-56. Ian Horvath led the Prairie Fire (0-3) with 11 points and 5 assists. Ben Wetherbee added 10. Knox begins Midwest Conference play Friday night at home against Lawrence University.

-Women-

Knox College beat Principia College 81-47 for the Prairie Fire's first win of the season. Knox forced 37 Principia turnovers. Freshman Sara Johnson led the Fire with 21 points. Lynn Mueller added 15.


High School Girls Bowling

Galesburg's varsity team opened the new season with a (2265-1951) win on the road against West Central. The Streaks junior varsity team was also a winner (2064-1591).
