Blackhawks Hoping Trip Will Help Cure Cup Hangover
CHICAGO (AP) -- The circus is coming to town and the Chicago Blackhawks are thrilled.

The defending Stanley Cup champions are off to a slow start and they're hoping the six-game road trip that coincides with the circus' annual run will help them develop the same cohesion that played a key role in last season's championship run.

The Blackhawks beat the Anaheim Ducks 3-2 in overtime Sunday, but have dropped five of seven overall. They've shown the ability to score, but their defense has been shaky and they've struggled at home.

Forward Patrick Kane says the team is coming along and that the trip to Canada and California will help the players bond.

Coach Joel Quenneville also thinks the stretch of road games will help the revamped Blackhawks get to know each other better.
