Leshoure's 330 Yards Gets Big Ten Honor
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) -- Illinois tailback Mikel Leshoure is the Big Ten's offensive player of the week after rushing for 330 yards on 33 carries Saturday against Northwestern.

The junior had five runs of 30 yards or more and scored two touchdowns while leading the Illini past the Wildcats 48-27. His performance was the fifth-best rushing day in Big Ten history.

Leshoure has 1,371 rushing yards this season on 233 carries. He's scored 13 touchdowns on the ground.

The win was Illinois' sixth, making the Illini (6-5, 4-4 Big Ten) bowl eligible for the first time since the 2007 season. They close the regular season Dec. 3 at Fresno State.
