| Vikings Coach Out, Farve Says Didn't Have to Be That Way |
Brett Favre says every Minnesota Viking player, including himself, could have done more to avoid Monday's firing of Vikings coach Brad Childress after the team's 3-7 start. Defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier gets the head coach's job on an interim basis.
Meanwhile, Tony Dungy says he's not interested in returning as a coach or executive to help straighten out the Minnesota Vikings. Dungy, who has roots in Minnesota and was defensive coordinator for the Vikings in the 1990s, tells The Associated Press that he's happy working as an analyst for NBC and enjoys having time to watch his son play college football at Oregon. |
