HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL
The season started with a Western Big 6 Conference foe, and a loss for the Galesburg High School Boys Basketball team. The Silver Streaks lost in a close one to Moline at the GHS Thanksgiving Tournament, 54-51. Brandon Thompson led the Streaks with 24 points, 15 of which came from behind the 3-point line. Dalton Davis and Chad Thompson each followed with 11 points. Anthony Lindauer led the Maroons with 27 points.
The Streaks continue with two games in the GHS Thanksgiving Tournament Friday, against Collins Academy with an 11:55am broadcast time on WGIL, and against Urbana Friday night at 6:55, also on WGIL. The GHS Girls play in the Thanksgiving Tournament again Friday as well, against Metamora. That broadcast will begin around 4:06pm, also on WGIL.
