| Ribeiro Sends Stars Past Blues |
DALLAS (AP) -- Mike Ribeiro scored the go-ahead goal with 3:29 left give the Dallas Stars a 3-2 victory over the St. Louis Blues on Friday night.
Jamie Benn tied it short-handed earlier in the third, and Benn's pass set up Ribeiro's inner. With the game tied at 2, Benn flipped a feed across the goal-mouth to Ribeiro, who skated in from the left side and fired high over goalie Jaroslav Halak.
Ribeiro, who went the first 16 games without a goal, has three in his last five. Andy McDonald had a pair of goals, the first one short-handed, and Halak made 19 saves for the Blues, whose three-game winning streak ended.
Brad Richards scored his team-high 11th goal and Kari Lehtonen stopped 25 shots for Dallas, 4-1-1 in its last six. (Copyright 2010 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
