College Football Action
Monmouth College plays against Knox College at 1pm at the Knosher Bowl. The teams are long time rivals and Monmouth is looking to continue their 11 game winning streak against Knox. Knox last won 28-20 in 1998. Monmouth enters the game with a 5-4 record and Knox is 1-8.
Michigan and embattled coach Rich Rodriguez desperately need a win against Illinois to make college football's winningest team bowl-eligible.
The Fighting Illini also have plenty of motivation because a victory Saturday at the Big House would secure a spot in the postseason in what was expected to be a rebuilding year.
Illinois has a chance to win three straight games for the first time since the end of the 2007 season, when it earned a spot in the Rose Bowl. The Illini also have an opportunity to beat the Wolverines three years in a row for the first time since the early 1950s.
The Wolverines have dropped three straight.
