Illinois WR Knight Pleads Not Guilty To Battery
URBANA, Ill. (AP) -- Illinois wide receiver Kenny Knight has pleaded not guilty to charges of battery and resisting a police officer.

Knight appeared in court Thursday after being arrested after a fight Saturday night. He's accused of punching a man in the head and then running when police spotted him.

Another football player, Jordan Frysinger, was also arrested. Knight and Frysinger have both been suspended from the team.

Knight is next scheduled to appear in court Dec. 22.
