|1st Penn State Abuse Suit Comes From New Accuser
|STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) -- Penn State leaders have pledged to raise ethics ''to a new level'' at the university, where students are struggling to come to grips with criminal allegations against former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky.
Just hours after a man identified only as John Doe contended in a lawsuit that Sandusky sexually abused him more than 100 times, university president Rod Erickson and other administrators faced pointed questions at a student-organized town hall forum Wednesday night.
Erickson says he wants the Penn State community to learn ''not just the legal thing to do, but the moral thing to do.'' He promised there would be a new emphasis on transparency.
Sandusky has acknowledged that he showered with boys but denied molesting them.
The new accuser is not part of the criminal case.
