| Knox Hoops Teams Visit Eureka |
Knox College's men's and women's basketball teams step out of conference Tuesday with games at Eureka College. The Prairie Fire men enter play with a 1-5 record and struggling to score points. Knox is averaging 61 points per game and giving up 73.5 through the team's first six games. Eureka's record is 4-3 after winning three straight games. Knox lost last Saturday to the University of Dubuque 77-54. Forward Matt Goedecke, the Prairie Fire's top rebounder and a double-figure scorer, was injured in the game and isn't available. One of the Red Devils' losses was against Monmouth College, 73-64, last month in Monmouth. It's the only game Monmouth has won so far this season. The men's game tips off at 7 p-m at Eureka's Reagan Center. The Knox College women have not played since a 73-49 Midwest Conference loss against Beloit on December 5th. The loss dropped Knox's record to 2-2. Eureka is 3-4, including a 75-47 setback against Monmouth College on the 25th of last month. The women's game tips off at 5:00. |
