High School Boys Basketball

Rowva came back from a five-point halftime deficit to beat Abingdon 52-49. Caleb Lepisto led the Tigers (7-3) with 21 points. The Commandos (3-7) were led by Cody Osborne's 20 points. Abingdon won the freshman/sophomore game 38-35 in OT.

Sterling Newman defeated Knoxville 53-52 in the Kewanee Tournament. The Bullets weren't able to overcome a seven-point halftime deficit. Bryce Ball scored 14 for Knoxville and Steve Sagona had 12.

Midland (8-4) beat Williamsfield (7-3) 61-47

Ridgewood fell to Rockridge 45-29

Prophetstown handled Galva 77-52

Brimfield (10-0) is still undefeated after taking down South Fulton (0-10) 76-24

Mercer County lost to Sherrard 59-39

Orion (7-4, 2-0 Olympic) jumped out to a 19-point first quarter lead (27-8) and cruised the rest of the way against Farmington (3-7, 0-3), winning 85-58.

Princeton won big against Kewanee 82-55

Galesburg High School's sophomore team dropped two of three games at the U-T Tournament. The Streaks lost to Moline 65-36 and Rock Island 48-45. Galesburg won 55-39 against Geneseo. The Streaks record is 2-6.


High School Girls Basketball

#5 Knoxville (16-1) defeated Monmouth-Roseville (10-3) 57-47. Hannah Weedman scored 24 points for the Blue Bullets. Rebecca Gillen led the Titans with 18.

@ Sterling Shootout:

Moline beat Richwoods 44-35, then Richwoods lost to Lombard Montini 50-33.
