Illinois Needs Defense to Bounce Back vs. Bears
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) -- Illinois coach Ron Zook is already considering defensive changes for next year to correct what went wrong over this fall's final four games.

The problem is the Illini (6-6, 4-4 Big Ten) have one more game to play before he can make those changes.

The Illini face Baylor Wednesday in the Texas Bowl. And the Bears have the kind of offense that gave the Illini trouble.

Like the Michigan offense that roasted Illinois with 67 points in an overtime loss. Baylor is driven by a double-threat quarterback. Robert Griffin threw for over 3,000 yards and 21 touchdowns while running for almost 600 yards.

Zook now says his defense's trouble started with Michigan. He thinks the defense was worn out by that game after carrying much of the team's early-season load.
