Florida Holds Out Over South Carolina in Chick-fil-A Bowl
ATLANTA (AP) -- EJ Manuel threw a fourth-quarter touchdown pass to stop a South Carolina rally and lead Florida State to a 26-17 victory over the Gamecocks in the Chick-fil-A Bowl. That made coach Jimbo Fisher a winner in his first bowl as he completed a 10-victory season in his first year since replacing retired legendary coach Bobby Bowden.

Chris Thompson ran for 147 yards and a touchdown for the Seminoles. Dustin Hopkins kicked four field goals for the No. 23 Seminoles, who reached 10 wins for the first time since 2003.

Manuel took over for senior quarterback Christian Ponder, who left early in the second quarter with a concussion.
