The Galesburg High School Boys Swimming and Diving Team won a dual meet with Pekin Saturday 99-84. The Pekin J/V Squad, however, was victorious over the Streaks 65-33.

Galesburg High School placed 4th at the Kewanee Invitational Saturday, behind United Township, Sterling, and Mendota. Brittany Mason's 221, and Bekah Merritt's 207 were the high games for the Streaks. Mason's 524 series in the morning session, and Kendra Weichmann's 520 morning series, and 473 afternoon series, were among the tops for GHS.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL
The Knox College's women's basketball team lost its second Midwest Conference game in a row at Carroll University 71-59. Sophomore Sara Johnson (Grinnell, Iowa) led Knox (1-4, 0-2 MWC) with 19 points. Senior Jenny Haskell (Murphys, California) was the only other Knox player in double figures with 15 points. She also added eight rebounds.
Carroll University defeated the Knox College men's basketball team (1-4, 0-2) 81-69 Saturday night in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Two Knox players scored in doubles figures. Junior Ben Wetherbee (Sydney, Australia) had 13 points and senior Matt Goedeke (Yates City, Illinois) added 11.
Carl Sandburg College (7-4) lost to Parkland College Saturday afternoon 104-66. Sandburg was led by DT Thornton with 13 points and Alex Franklin added 12. Carl Sandburg will play Danville Area College Sunday at noon; at the ICC Classic.

COLLEGE SWIMMING
The Knox Prairie Fire women's swimming team scored 338 points, which resulted in a seventh place finish in the 11-team Pioneer Classic Friday and Saturday at Grinnell College. The host Pioneers easily won the women's competition with 1202 points. The Pioneer men made it a sweep by scoring 1340 points, easily outdistancing second place Loras College (835.5). The Prairie Fire men's team finished 10th out of the 11 teams with 150 points.
