| Bolland Lifts Kane-less Blackhawks Over Flames |
CHICAGO (AP) -- Dave Bolland scored two power-play goals, and the Chicago Blackhawks overcame the loss of star forward Patrick Kane in the opening minute and beat the Calgary Flames 4-2 on Sunday night.
Bryan Bickell and Jonathan Toews also scored power-play goals for Chicago. Kane, the Blackhawks' leading scorer last season with 88 points, sustained an undisclosed lower body injury 46 seconds into the game and didn't return.
Jarome Iginla and Anton Babchuk scored on the power play for the Flames. Babchuk's goal was his first since joining Calgary in a trade from Carolina on Nov. 17.
Chicago rookie Corey Crawford started for the fourth time in five games and made 24 saves.
