Mike Davis scored 20 points and No. 20 Illinois had five players finish in double figures in a 79-67 victory over North Carolina last night in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Demetri McCamey had 17 points for the 7-1 Illini, while Mike Tisdale added 14. North Carolina center Tyler Zeller picked up three early fouls and spent more than 9 minutes of the first half on the bench while the Illini built a 37-30 halftime lead. Illinois opened the second half with an 8-2 run and never led by less than nine points the rest of the way.
The Iowa Hawkeyes surrendered an 18 point lead and lost to Wake Forest on a last second shot 77-74. |
