HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL
The Galesburg High School Boys Basketball team dropped a game to non-conference opponent Metamora Saturday night in a close one 47-43, marking their third straight loss. Aslan Butler once again led the Streaks with 17 points, followed by Grant Gibson with 10. Jared Dehm led Metamora with 15. The GHS Sophomores, however, evened their record at 1-1, with a victory over Metamora 66-55. Tyson Parks exploded for the Sophomore Streaks, scoring 30 points.
The Moline Dispatch-Rock Island Argus reports that the broken leg suffered by Moline's Jamaree Atwater Friday in their victory over Galesburg is not career-threatening. Atwater underwent surgery Saturday to fix the injury. Moline athletic director Todd Rosenthal told the paper that Atwater could be back and playing again after a year.

Orion 63, Illini West 52 (Illini West beat Orion's sophomores 56-52) Farmington takes 1st place in the Spoon River Tip-Off Classic, followed by Havana and Lewistown. Havana lost to Farmington 62-47 in the championship game.
HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL
The GHS Freshman Girls frop to 1-3 on the season after losing to United Township 43-24. They next play Wednesday at Alleman.
LOCAL COLLEGE BASKETBALL
After losing to Lincoln Land Friday by a score of 68-58 the Carl Sandburg College Women dropped Saturday's contest to host Lincoln by a score of 81-73.
