Bulls Appear Poised to Make Move at Shooting Guard
DEERFIELD, Ill. (AP) -- The Chicago Bulls held Keith Bogans out of practice as training camp opened Friday, fueling speculation that they will bring in another shooting guard.

They also signed first-round draft pick Jimmy Butler. But the big story centered on Bogans.

It's no secret the Bulls are looking for an upgrade at shooting guard, and a prime target appears to be Richard Hamilton after Detroit parted ways with the veteran. Jason Richardson and Jamal Crawford also were available.

''At this time, we are exploring several options in finalizing our roster,'' general manager Gar Forman said in a statement released Friday night. ''We have always respected Keith's professionalism and we hope to have more clarity on this situation soon.''

The Bulls have a $1.73 million option on Bogans and a Dec. 19 deadline for a decision on it. The veteran started all 82 games last season and averaged 4.4 points.

Butler, the 30th pick in the draft, spent three years at Marquette and averaged 12.0 points and 5.5 rebounds.
