Boys Basketball
The Galesburg High School boys basketball team embarks on a difficult weekend tonight, as the Silver Streaks will host Western Big 6 Conference leader Rock Island. The Rocks have won or shared the conference title for the last 3 seasons, and are currently tied with Quincy after the first two weeks of league play. The Silver Streaks enter the game at 1-1 in the conference, and 4-4 overall. We'll have the broadcast beginning at 7:10 tonight with Brad Bennewitz and Jim Lee. Tomorrow's competition may be just as tough for the Streaks, as they will play undefeated North Scott in the Iowa/Illinois shootout at Augustana College at 5pm.

Girls Basketball
The Silver Streaks girls will be trying to snap their 3-game losing streak tomorrow afternoon when they travel to Peoria Manual. Galesburg lost at United Township last night to fall to 7-4 on the season. We'll have coverage tomorrow's game beginning at 1:10 with Tom Meredith and Erik Gibson. |
