Illini win to go 8-0
Myers Leonard scored 21 points and helped Illinois hold number 18 Gonzaga's Robert Sacre to 2 second half points in an 82-75 win Saturday afternoon. D.J. Richardson added 19 points for the undefeated Illini. He hit 2 free throws and a 3 pointer with 5:35 to play that put Illinois up 67-60. Sacre fouled out 2 minutes later. He finished with 16 points but went scoreless for more than 20 minutes. Elias Harris led 5-1 Gonzaga with 19 points. Brandon Paul added 13 for the Illini.

Knoxville girls win
The Knoxville gilrs basketball team defeated BPC Saturday afternoon 69 to 50. Coach Matt Gibson's squad is now 6-3 on the season.
