Expansion At The Sustainable Business Center
Several local small businesses housed at one location in Galesburg are making it big, and they're being recognized through National Entrepreneurship Week.

The local Entrepreneurial Support Network of West Central Illinois held a press conference today to mark National Entrepreneurship Week, which doesn't actually start until Monday.

But the host Sustainable Business Center used the occasion to talk about several big things happening there.

SBC Incubator Director Eric Dilts says its biggest client, tankless water heater maker Intellihot, is growing.

"They recently launched their new product line -- the IQ series; which is a 1000 and a 500 mbtu tankless water heater for commercial use. They also just announced a combo unit, which is a combination between a water heater and a space heater," says Dilts.

Dilts says Intellihot officials recently returned from a trade show in Houston where they began to market the products on an international scale.

Dilts says in addition, Sitka Salmon Shares is already exceeding their sales goals and should be on the verge of expanding as well, Blackburn Sampling is marketing a new product that can help test highly-flammable liquids, and Pennycress Partners is also on the verge of expanding.
