Trial Set for Peoria Man in Wife's Shooting Death
PEORIA, Ill. (AP) -- A Peoria man will go to trial May 28 after he pleaded not guilty to charges he killed his wife on Valentine's Day.

The Journal Star reports that 37-year-old Nathan Leuthold has pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree murder in the death of his wife, Denise Leuthold.

Authorities accuse him of staging a break-in at their home and shooting the woman to death.

Nathan Leuthold is being held in the Peoria County jail on $2 million bond.
