Can You Dig it
A new vintage retail shop has opened its doors in downtown Galesburg.

Right next to InnKeepers Coffee is the brand new store, Dig.

When asked why she named the store Dig, Owner Sarah Jones tell WGIL it's kind of representational of her personality and what the shop sells.

"Partly it's a term that I use way too much, 'I dig it' and thing I see I say I dig it. And also at lot of these are treasures I've dug for or other people have dug for through ya know houses garage sales whatever."

Jones says her store is community-oriented and a lot of local artists' creations can be found in her store.

The 1950's, 1960's store has a massive collection of unique items including some authentic old school glasses frames that Jones herself wears to express her uniqueness.

"That's another thing I've been collecting over the years because, I don't remember how old I was when I got these, the ones that I'm wearing. I got them at the Goodwill for $3 and had my prescription but in them, and it was just a much more affordable way ya know to be funkey."

Jones says she will take items that people are looking to sell, however she ask you call and talk with her before bring it in just to make sure it's something she's looking for.

Dig is currently open for business.
