Charges Dismissed for 2 Imprisoned Chicago Men
CHICAGO (AP)--The Cook County State's Attorney's Office says it is dismissing charges against two Chicago men who have been in prison for years.

A brief statement did not provide a detailed explanation. But it said the decision was made after the cases were re-investigated by the State's Attorney's Conviction Integrity Unit. That department was set up last year to review questionable prosecutions.

One of the men, Latherial Boyd, was convicted of murder in 1990.

The other man, Carl Chatman, was found guilty in 2004 of sexually assaulting an employee inside a courtroom at the Daley Center.

State's Attorney Anita Alvarez is scheduled to hold a news conference Tuesday to discuss the cases.
