| CHICAGO (AP) -- Gov. Pat Quinn promised Illinoisans that his heart is ``ever at your service'' as he formally declared his run for governor. Quinn says there's still more to do and that's why he wants the job for four more years. He made his announcement in Chicago on Thursday before heading out to visit eight other cities around the state. The former lieutenant governor inherited Illinois' top job in January when lawmakers removed Gov. Rod Blagojevich from office after his arrest on federal corruption charges. Quinn says he's committed to bringing jobs and economic growth to Illinois. But he didn't talk about how he would pay for the programs he wants. The Democrat has proposed an income tax increase, but lawmakers have yet to go for it. He didn't mention the tax increase at his announcement. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press.
