Emanuel:ISFA Head Should Have 'Proven Experience'
CHICAGO (AP)--Gov. Pat Quinn's lead spokeswoman has applied for a director job at the Illinois Sports Facilities Authority, but Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel says he favors someone with a record of experience.

The Chicago Tribune reported Tuesday that spokeswoman Kelly Kraft applied to be head of the state agency that operates U.S. Cellular Field and interviewed last week.

However, Emanuel's office says the position should go to someone with "proven experience of managing large organizations."

Kraft is a former television reporter who started working for Quinn in 2009 in the budget office. She was named Quinn's chief spokeswoman this year.

Kraft referred questions to Quinn spokeswoman Brooke Anderson. Anderson says Kraft has extensive experience in budgets and bonds that make her well-equipped to manage the agency.
