|The 36 annual Scenic Drive rolls out this weekend and people from all over Knox County will be participating in the various fall activities.
Jerry Wood from the Galesburg Convention and Visitors Bureau tells the WGIL Morning New's she's always surprised just how many out of state people come to this event.
"I'm surprised by how much the surrounding states, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Tennessee, Missouri, Indiana. They come in for the Scenic Drive. I'm not sure if it's because of the colors the trees, but I'm sure it's got to do with the fact it's a good place to start your Christmas shopping and all the unique and different things at each of the stops."
Wood says you can look forward to many things on the drive including amazing chicken and noodles at Orange Chapel and the apple dumplings in Maquon.
She says the apple dumplings are in such demand they're making over two-thousand and will probably sell out.
