|This Saturday four homes around Galesburg will be the centerpieces of this year Holiday House Walk.
The homes will be open to the public to walk through and see all the beautiful Christmas lights, trees and ornaments.
Director of the Civic Art Center Heather Norman tells the WGIL Evening News some of the homes are decorated with a theme in mind while others are decorated with in the spirit of Christmas.
"Some people do a wide variety of trees, I think we've had someone who had seven trees up and each had its own theme. There's a kitchen tree, Mary-Jo Hemmer who's on it, her whole house becomes Christmas. It's always interesting to see how each person's interpretation of Christmas is different and how they enjoy it."
The Walk is designed to allow people inside the houses and see the decorations up close.
While walking through the homes people will be entertained with live Christmas music to help get them into the holiday spirit.
The walk is put on by the Galesburg Civic Arts Center and runs one day.
