|Clarence E. Schultz, 97, of Galva, passed away at 6:15 AM, Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Kewanee Care Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, February 6 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva. Pastor Karen Martin will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Galva Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Galva Historical Society or to the Galva Senior Citizens Center.
He was born August 24, 1915 in Hooppole, IL, the son of Ernest and Edith (Eshelman) Schultz. He married Janis Ann Boostrom on May 5 1946 in Galva and he preceded her in death on October 16, 2007. Survivors include nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Vernon and Harvey.
Clarence attended Hooppole High School and in his early years had farmed. He had worked for Johnson Mobile Service and for BM Fitting Corp. in Galva for 40 years until his retirement in 1976. He had also been a driver for Rux Funeral Home in Galva. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Galva, the Galva Senior Citizens Center, the Curli-Q Square Dancers in Kewanee and I.B.E.W. for 20 years.
