|Thomas Lee "Panther" Hary, 62, of Henderson, died at 11:40 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at home.
He was born July 28, 1950 in Peoria, the son of Winfred "Rocky" and Bonnie J. Cooley Jackson. He was later adopted and raised by Ervin J. Hary. He married Deborah J. Kemp on November 22, 1991 in East Galesburg.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah of Galesburg; his mother, Bonnie Jane Cordle of Henderson; a son, Jessi Thomas Kemp of Henderson; a daughter, Krista Marie Sargeant; three grandchildren; two brothers, Ervin J. "Bo" Hary and Richard C. Hary, both of Henderson; and three sisters, Sheryl A. Main and Florance "FeFe" Mulhattan, both of Galesburg and Sandy J. Hary of Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his biological father, Winfred "Rocky" Jackson; his adopted father, Ervin J. Hary; and his stepfather, Harris Cordle.
Thomas was a body man and had worked at Maytag. His main occupation was working as a tire technician for Neal Tire, Greg Gustafson, and Jimmy Walker.
Panther was a biker belonging to the Hells Angels, Grim Reapers, and Sainting Brothers. He enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his family.
Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2013 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. Cremation will be accorded following the service.
