Rebecca A. Flanagan-Hansen, age 69, of Oneida, Illinois and Galesburg, Illinois died at 3:05 P.M. on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at OSF St .Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.

She was born on June 4, 1943 in Galesburg, Illinois the daughter of Don and Ellen Barry Tabb. She attended and graduated from Galesburg High School. She then attended and graduated from the University of Phoenix, in Phoenix, Arizona. She married Larry Flanagan on February 17, 1962 in Phoenix, Arizona, he preceded her in death on January 2, 2000. She then married Kenneth Hansen on May 5, 2006 in Galesburg, Illinois. He survives of Galesburg, Illinois.

She is survived by her mother: Ellen Hartley of Galesburg, Illinois; two daughters: Lisa Ann Flanagan of Wataga, Illinois and Kimberly Sue (Jens) Hedegaard of Byron, Illinois. Six grandchildren: Justin (Susan Haney) Smith, Heather (Jeremy Rutledge) Rodgers, Katrine Hedegaard, Krissy Hedegaard, Kally Hedegaard and Klaire Hedegaard; and two great grandchildren: Aubrey and Hayden Rodgers. Also surviving is a sister: Sue (Charles) Rebstock of Clayburn, Texas and Dick (Susan) Tabb of Quincy, Illinois. She is preceded in death by her father and husband, Larry.

She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church. She was very active in her church, being a secretary and member of its Altar and Rosary Society. She was a member of the Soangetaha Country Club in Galesburg, Illinois. She enjoyed sewing and baking.

She was a homemaker and over the years worked at several places such as, a sales clerk at JC Penney in Galesburg, Illinois; Oneida Telephone; ROWVA High School and a Dental Assistant for Dr. Fyrmire.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00A.M.on April 2, 2013 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Wataga, Illinois. Father Deus-Dedit Byabato officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, April 1, 2013 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Oneida, Illinois with a Rosary at 7:30 P.M. Interment will be held in the Oneida Cemetery, Oneida, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the St. Aloysius Catholic Church Altar and Rosary Society or to the American Cancer Society.
