|Phyllis J. Linder, 85, of Galesburg, Ill., died at 6:30 am Saturday, April 13, 2013 in Rosewood Care Center Galesburg.
She was born March 19, 1928 in Galesburg the daughter of Glenn and Lucille Anderson Baker. She married Arthur E. "Bud" Linder on January 2, 1949. He preceded her in death on April 9, 2013.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Amy (Dave) Fasano of Hinsdale, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews including a very special niece, Cathi Watson and her husband Roger Watson of Cameron, Ill., and great nieces and nephews, Luke, Erik and Rachel, her nephew, David (Lisa) Watson; her brother, Robert (Sharon) Baker of Princeton, Ill., and brother in law Kenneth Watson of Cameron, Ill.. She is preceded in the death by parents, husband, and daughter, Debbie Christenson in 1986 and a sister, Joan Watson.
She was a second grade teacher for Mable Woolsey Grade School in Knoxville, Ill for 35 years. She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1946 and Monmouth College. She was a member of the Cameron Christian Church. Phyllis was a member of the KOOKS, she collected egg beaters and butter churns. She enjoyed reading, traveling and dinner with "The Supper Club." Her husband, daughter and granddaughter were the great loves of her life.
Memorial services are scheduled for 11 am Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Cameron Christian Church. Rev. Jeff Nielson and Rev. Paul Lydic will officiate.
