|Floyd J. LaGrow, age 66, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 4:15 A.M. on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital in Galesburg, Illinois.
He was born on April 16, 1946 in Galesburg, Illinois the son of Floyd "Hap" and Lucille Snare LaGrow. He married Carol E. Sloan Mulvey on April 28, 1981 in Wataga, Illinois. She survives of Galesburg, Illinois.
Surviving are his children: Chris (Brenda) LaGrow of Rio, Illinois; Raymond LaGrow of Buffalo, Iowa; Jeanne (Chuck) Boyce-Fisk of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; Jay Mulvey of East Galesburg, Illinois; Dennis (Michelle) Mulvey of East Galesburg, Illinois; and Teresa (Derreck) Good of Urbandale, Iowa. Thirteen grandchildren. One brother, Marvin LaGrow of Texas and Judith (Dusty) Rhoades of Galesburg, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He worked for the BNSF of Galesburg, Illinois for over 40 years, retiring as a Lead Man Carman, 1st Shift.
Throughout his life he enjoyed, camping, fishing, riding motorcycles and was always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He will always be known as a big man with an even bigger heart to all who knew him.
As per his request cremation rites will be accorded. There will be no public services. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
