|It has snowed a few inches, let's shut the state down
The snowy weather has forced the rescheduling of most of the high school boys postseason basketball games that were set for tonight. In class 2A, the Monmouth-Roseville Titans game with Winnebago has been pushed back until 8pm tomorrow. Officials at Monmouth-Roseville say the fan bus will depart at 4:15 tomorrow afternoon.
In class 3A, the postponement of tonight's game between Limestone and Mendota in Peoria is not only forcing a change of date, but also a change of location for all the teams involved, including the Galesburg Silver Streaks. The Streaks will now play on Thursday at 7:30 at Washington High School. The Limestone vs. Mendota game will be played tomorrow night, also with a change of venue to Washington High. Scheduling conflicts at Bradley's Renaissance Colisseum have been listed as the reason for the change of location. However, Friday night's championship game will be played there, as originally scheduled.
Advance ticket sales for the GHS game will take place tomorrow (Wed) evening in the front office at the high school from 5-6:30pm All tickets previously sold will be honored at Washington High School for Thursday night's game.
