|CHICAGO (AP) -- Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel says he believes the "fog will lift" in the negotiations over a self-imposed April 1 deadline for a massive $300 million Wrigley Field renovation.
Speaking Monday, the mayor offered little insight into talks between the family that owns the Cubs and city officials.
The Ricketts family set Monday's deadline, but by midday there was no word on an agreement.
Earlier this year, owner Tom Ricketts said his family's willing to foot the entire bill for the project -- if the long-standing restrictions are lifted.
Because of its location in a residential neighborhood, the Cubs are limited to 30 home night games a season and the team can't play night games on Friday or Saturday.
They're also the only major league team that faces advertising limitations.
