The Galesburg High School boys golf team is playing host to Farmington at Bunker Links Thursday. The match will serve as a good warm-up to some bigger events in the days ahead, according to coach Dean Betts.

The conference tournament is set for Monday in Quincy, where the Blue Devils will go in as the favorite to take this year's title. Earlier this week, Galesburg dropped a dual to Moline by 12 strokes, but that was after Hunter Nesselroad disqualified himself when he discovered he had an extra 6-iron in his golf bag. Coach Betts said he was proud that his young golfer owned up to the mistake.
