Another round of games in the Knoxville-Abingdon girls basketball tournament will be played at both venues tonight. In Abingdon, the ROWVA Tigers will face the Farmington Farmers in the opener, with the United Red Storm battling the host Commandos in the late game. At Knoxville, the host Blue Bullets will also see action tonight, as they play West Central in the nightcap. The early game at Jensen Gym has Brimfield up against B-PC/Avon. Last night, Brimfield suffered their first loss of the season, falling to class 4A unbeaten Rock Island 62-57.
The Galesburg girls have one more practice session to go as they prepare for another Western Big 6 contest tomorrow night. The Streaks will play at United Township. Both teams are 2-1 so far in the conference.
A pair of boys games are on the schedule for tonight in Oneida as part of the ROWVA-Ridgewood tournament. The opener finds United playing Prophetstown at 6, followed by Williamsfield against the host Tigers at 7:30.
The Carl Sandburg women will on the home court tonight at John Lewis Gymsasium, as the Chargers host John Wood Community College from Quincy.
