Alta Roberta Kleine, 90, of Cameron, Illinois died at 2:00AM Sunday, September 28, 2014 at the Roseville Rehabilitation Center in Roseville, Illinois.
She was born on May 3, 1924 in Centralia, Illinois to William Harold and Esther Pauline Millmaker Russell. She married Gerald W. Kleine on May 30, 1942 in St. Charles, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 10, 1999.
Alta is survived by a son, Gerald “Butch” (and Karen) Kleine of Cameron; a brother, Harold M. (and Betty) Russell of Newberry, Florida; a sister, Norma Gene Smith of Waskom, Texas; three grandchildren, Christopher Kleine and Jeremy (and Molly) Kleine, both of Galesburg and Gregory Norman of LeRoy, Illinois; and two great-grandchildren, Kelsi Kleine and Kannon Kleine. Aside from her husband, Alta was also preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Leininger in 2000.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Peters United Church of Christ in Centralia. She enjoyed doing crafts her entire life.
Funeral services will be 6:00 PM Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Glen W. Bocox officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00PM to 6:00 PM at the Chapel.
