The GHS Silver Streak boys beat the Taylorville Tornadoes tonight 69-57 after a long, well fought battle with Taylorville. The Streaks had already secured their victory in this tournament before this game but end it 5-0. This makes the Streaks 15-0 for their season so far. 15-0 is a fantastic start to the season for any team, but for Galesburg it’s much more than just a nice looking win/loss record. This is the best record the GHS boys have had since their ’58-’59 team had a 14-0 start. So mega kudos to the boys and here’s hoping this is only the beginning of a wonderful year for the Galesburg Silver Streaks boys. Their next game is set for Saturday night against Geneseo with a pre-game time of 7:10 and a tip off set for 7:30.
