Chicago Team Heading to Robotics World Championships

CHICAGO (AP) — Students from a Chicago high school are heading to the robotics world championships.
WLS-TV reports Chicago Math and Science Academy is sending a team to the FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship for the first time.

The team is known as the “RoboTitans Team (hash)7006.” They’re one of five teams from Illinois competing in the championships, which are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday in St. Louis.

The students say they’ve spent countless hours building and adjusting their robot creation.

A total of 128 teams from around the world will participate in the world championship.
