“I feel that the best way to accomplish my goal of trying to make Knox County a more livable place and make it a better quality of life, is to serve as State’s Attorney, to address this issue of crime with a new approach and a new vision,” says Karlin.
According to Karlin, when he traveled door to door in his last two campaigns for Alderman, he found that many residents had issues with the amount of crime in the area.
Karlin has practiced as an attorney for 21 years, 20 of which he served in Galesburg. He also spent two years working as the Assistant State’s Attorney in Knox County.
The official announcement event will be held on Tuesday, July 7th at 5 p.m. on the north stairs of the Knox County Courthouse. In the event of rain, the event will be moved to the Bondi Building Conference Room.
