“Just the variety of items I think and I don’t think we’re too small and I don’t think we’re too big,” says Abel. “Sometimes people enjoy a larger antique store, but then you have people who enjoy one that’s a little smaller.”
The new Junk Drawer location has been open for less than a week. Abel goes on to say the owners have items that range from different styles of the spectrum and resemble that of a junk drawer someone would have in their home.
“I think the main thing is what we have on our sign and the slogan that goes with it. ‘Primatives, Antiques, and More, You’ll Never Know What You Find in The Junk Drawer’. Most people have one and you search through those, and you never know what you’re going to find,” says Abel.
New items will be brought into the store weekly coming from the owners collections and auctions from around the Central Illinois area.
