Two men have been confirmed dead and one woman was injured as a result of a plane crash that took place near Galva this morning.
Illinois State Police responded near the Kewanee Municipal Airport around 9:45 a.m.
Henry County Coroner David Johnson pronounced 67-year-old Steven Murray and his son 38-year-old Mark Murray deceased at approximately 12:45 p.m. this afternoon. The father son duo were reportedly residents of Houston, Texas.
The other passenger, 40-year-old Samantha Murray, who is also a Houston resident, was transported to OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Johnson says it was evident that Murray sustained injuries to her arm. Her overall condition remains unknown.
The family was reportedly trying to fly back to Houston when the crash occurred.
Little additional information is known. Investigation continues.
