Knox County Health Department Hold Drive Up Flu Clinic This Weekend

knox county sealThe Knox County Health Department will be holding a drive-up flu clinic on Saturday from 7 to 10 a.m. at Hinchliff-Pearson-West on Fremont street. Director of Wellness and Health Promotion Erin Olson says HPW will be giving out donuts and coffee from Innkeeper’s at the clinic with your flu shot.

Olson tells Galesburg’s Morning News on WGIL that residents can stay in their cars and get their shot in less than 10 minutes.

“You’re going to drive up and we are going to do your paperwork,” says Olson. “If you do want to get a vaccination, you can sit in your car. We will have people there to fill out your paperwork outside your window. Then you will move up a little bit more, and then you will actually just get your flu vaccine. So, make sure you’re wearing short sleeves, something easy for people to get to your arm on. They just drive up and get their flu shot, then they drive on out their way. I mean, it doesn’t even take 10 minutes, unless there’s a little bit of a line, but I bet in 10 minutes or less, you’re on your way.”

Olson says all you need to bring is your ID and cash or a check for the vaccine.

The Health Department will also be holding walk-in flu clinics at the Health Department starting Monday, September 28th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. as well.
