Galesburg Police responded to a residential burglary over the weekend, in which nearly $1300 was taken from a Baird Avenue home.
At approximately 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning, police responded to the 1900 block of Baird to investigate the incident.
According to police reports, the home owner indicated that he returned home shortly after midnight to find the back door of his residence open. The man indicated that damage had been done to the frame of the door as well.
Upon further investigation, a 40 inch television valued at $550 was reported missing, alongside $740 worth of gaming equipment.
The man told police that he found the light to his basement turned on and that drawers were opened in another room, however, nothing was thought to had been taken from either of those areas.
No serial numbers could be identified on any of the alleged items taken. There have been no suspects named in the case.
