CALUMET CITY, Ill. (AP) — Authorities say at least seven people are injured after a shooting in a south suburb of Chicago.
Calumet City Police Chief Edward Gilmore told reporters the incident happened Monday evening as people gathered at a home after a funeral.
WGN-TV reports six people were shot and a seventh was injured while trying to flee the gunman.
The chief told WGN there had been no fatalities so far, but the condition of the victims wasn’t immediately clear.
Gilmore couldn’t immediately be reached by The Associated Press. An officer at the police department said he wasn’t authorized to release information about the incident, and no further details were immediately available.
