CHICAGO (AP) — Police are investigating the death of a newborn girl who was found outside a high-rise building in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood.
The infant was found in a patch of grass around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday on the city’s North Side. She was taken a block away to Weiss Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Officers used flashlights to search for evidence and took photos.
Authorities did not release precise information on the girl’s age.
